I think it is fair to say that I have considered more photo projects than I have actually undertaken. Whenever I do do them, I have always found them very enjoyable and a great way to enjoy my hobby of photography. So, following my last project, which involved taking the same shot in each of the 12 months, in three different locations around Oxfordshire, I have decided on a project for lockdown. This time, I have company...

If golf is a good walk spoiled, then photography is a good walk enjoyed. With all of us being encouraged to exercise, and get out, myself and my good friend, Mark Searle (http://www.education.ox.ac.uk/people/mark-searle/) a fellow keen photographer, decided that we would join forces and take photos of our home county.

The concept is simple, we depict our views of Oxfordshire using the alphabet. I am going to be responsible for the even letters and Mark the odds (this was in part prompted by the fact that he is a resident of Warborough and has recently taken some stunning pictures of the Green in Warborough). Besides that and besides that we want to depict the fine landscape of Oxfordshire, there are no other "rules".

Our aim is to complete the project within 3 months and we will be delighted to hear from those of you who are accessing this page with your thoughts of either locations we should try, or with comments on our photographs. We are aiming to complete the exercise in alphabetical order and I will post our pictures as we go along. Here is an example of one which might or might not make it :)

Please do get in touch.

Look after yourselves and I hope you enjoy our project.
